Requirements

Tenerife’s Council has deployed approximately 150 km of dark fibre network to provide its own services using DWDM technology to interconnect all nodes with the D-ALiX central office. They already had a tool for the active but not for the passive equipment and needed an application capable of visually displaying all the cables, manholes, splitter boxes, passive elements of the DWDM network, nodes, etc; and at the same time being intuitive, fast and easy to use.

Results

We deploy APX GIS On Premise, which is able to meet all the requirements.
All created objects can be visualized on a customised cartography from GRAFCAN, a public entity from the Canary Islands. In addition, we can create P2P services from the nodes to the central that highlights the current route of the service. APX has also an API that our node manager can call to display in real-time alarmed nodes
